Zoosk.Com began as a Facebook application in December 2007, and now it's a global dating site with millions of registered users to its name. Zoosk is a unique dating company on a mission to seamlessly integrate social networking and online dating. The dating website and app provide singles with an intuitive dating experience with affordable and customizable communication tools at their disposal. Zoosk attracts a fairly young crowd of singles looking for casual dates and deep relationships in a fun online environment.
Is Zoosk Legit?
Zoosk is a legit dating app. It has plenty of users, some helpful matching tools, and a reputation of helping people connect with other like-minded singles. The biggest appeal about Zoosk is the number of users - over 40 million accounts, and around 3 million messages being sent on a daily basis.
Zoosk's rating is 9.1 out of 10 points on the Top10 scale. The overall rating is based on 53 user reviews, who rated Zoosk 3 out of 5 and found it particularly easy to use. It's also based on its brand reputation (based on web analytics), customer engagement, and its features and benefits as found in this product review - like elaborate dating insights and safety measures.
The bottom line is, Zoosk is a legitimate dating site that's a great fit for casual dating, hookups, and serious relationships alike. If you're exclusively seeking a serious relationship, however, it might be worthwhile to check out other dating sites like eharmony.
Ease of Use
Zoosk is a user-friendly dating site with clear search and matching tools. The signup process goes quickly, especially if you sign up through Facebook, and Zoosk.com doesn’t require users to complete their dating profiles before browsing the site. Though, doing so is encouraged because users with photos and full profiles receive more attention on the site.
You can write an auto-greeting to send to anyone who shows interest in you while you browse the site. Something simple like “Hi, I’m looking for someone to talk to. What are your hobbies?” can help get the ball rolling and prompt people to start chatting instead of simply swiping through potential matches.
Zoosk profiles highlight personality over looks with detailed sections showcasing a person’s interests, story, basic details, perfect match, and ideal date. Zoosk’s app users can add credibility to their profiles by using the Verification tools, which verify photos, social media accounts, phone numbers, and military service.
Something that makes Zoosk.com stand out as a dating site is how it matches people up. The dating site asks its users just five match questions — including “Would you date someone who has a child?” and “Would you like to restrict your matches to only certain religions?” — and then relies on user behavior to determine a single person’s dating preferences. The groundbreaking Behavioral Matchmaking system takes into account which profiles the user clicks on and likes, for example, and then tries to find similar profiles to recommend.
What Is Zoosk.Com?
Zoosk.com is an all-purpose online dating app and social platform that personalizes your dating experience, so you can easily find your perfect match. Zoosk has unique behavioral matchmaking technology that continuously learns from its 40 million users to deliver better matches for the single people using it.
Zoosk was formed in 2007 as a dating app on Facebook, and has since become a leading online dating platform and the highest grossing dating app in the Apple App Store. It's available in 80 countries and 25 languages, so it's a truly global dating app. Out of the different online dating sites, Zoosk is pretty promising when it comes to results - just look at the Zoosk reviews.
Connections on Zoosk.Com
If you want to make real connections on Zoosk.com, you’ll have to subscribe to the dating site. Only paid subscribers can send messages (besides the auto-replies) to one another. Zoosk subscribers can also see who’s viewed their profiles. Both free members and paid subscribers can buy or earn Zoosk Coins, which unlock premium features on the site.
Once you’ve subscribed to Zoosk.com, you cannot cancel your subscription, hide your profile, or deactivate your account until after the one-month, three-month, or six-month period is over. You can cancel your subscription by turning off automatic renewals in your Account Settings, but you’ll have to wait until the subscription is up for it to take effect.
Zoosk.com keeps its members safe using standard precautions, including encrypting personal information, but it also urges its members to look out for themselves and trust their instincts when browsing online. Its Online Dating Safety Guide explains best practices from creating a profile to meeting in person. It’s important for Zoosk members to be on the lookout because Zoosk doesn’t conduct background checks on its members, and it cannot monitor the millions of interactions taking place every day on the site.
Instead of spending every waking hour screening its members, the Zoosk team empowers its users to report or block anyone violating the dating site’s rules or exhibiting suspicious behavior, including sending spammy messages or asking for money.

This site is a total scam to get your money. Don’t do it!!
Very disappointing. When you pay for a service and dont get it…scam.
Total waste of 3 months, too many time wasters and ghosters. Maybe some of the likes and messages are computer generated ???
It took a few weeks, but I found someone that I can really connect with someone that I can talk to.
Time consuming but works i found my someone and im happy with that thank you…
This app is the worst I didnt have anyone talk to me, I mean damn am I that ugly or something, so I deactivated my account and never received my refund, total rip off!!! Don’t use this app!!!
Racist operators, they love scammers and prostitutes, girls doing webcam, sending pics for money, anything bad is for them, you dare not write anything bad trying to scam you because you will be blocked. They also have other sites that are the same and if you blocked on when you blocked on all…………….eventually. Never give your credit card to these people because they will clean it and block you.
Soo many fake profiles, horrible horrible, Cant believe this is legal, do not buy a subscription, its a scam. I did, got hundreds of fake msg not one response from any of them, computer generated messages, always the same messages. Unbelievable unbelievable, need a class action lawsuit and shut them down!
Well majority of the girls on the side were scammers from different locations. All they wanted was money telling you a sad story. It just was a joke. It’s not just this one. They were all similar ripoffs
I would not recommend this site. I signed up for 3 months. Matches were often from way too distant locations and the suggestions did not correspond to my criteria. When I attempted to cancel my subscription before my renewal date I was informed I could not! Still awaiting resolution for this. Stay away from this site!
Too many people contacted me that live hours or states away despite the 30 mile radius I set. Their customer service is poor. No one called or emailed back when I expressed my concerns. They’ll take your money up front fro 3 months with no refunds possible, even after you are given a poor quality service. Don’t do it!
This dating site is terrible in all levels. It’s hard to understand to use and you are very limited to talk or search anyone. There is no matches for me in my area (200km) distance and that covers four cities. 80% of the people have no photo and when I request a photo no response or/and I don’t know if anyone received my messages cause it doesn’t tell me and I paid extra $$$for better service. This is a scam dating site. Use your money on other sites. They offer only the opposite my match request, for example, age difference was way way off and language which I cannot speak. I tried many times to report this but no help was done. Still continuing.
I signed for 3 months and can’t wait to end. I get at least a dozen “smiles” a day which I believe are computer generated as I have followed up and received zero communication from the originator. On a daily basis, I receive at least two messages that a user has found the love of her life but her friend wants me to contact her via email or phone. Believe me, they are scammers trying to get your number and/or email address to take over your account, email, bank account, etc.
There are more frauds on this site, than are sitting in jails. They don’t want you to find someone, because then you and the money will go away. I only started a profile to see what there was to see. I can say that all of the the complaints on here are legit. I can’t even access the account part to delete the profile. Beware!
I have tried this Dating site too!- along with a few others!+ They all was Nothing but a waste of my time! Believe me there are No free Dating sites that’s 100 percent! There will always be a catch to it!- if they say anything is free! Try it for free!- it’s all a lie! They want u to pay for it from the Start! So don’t believe them if they say that! I know! So good luck with that! I’m done with them! I don’t recommend!
About a year I been a paying member except for few weeks when I got so bored with their lack of care to add more members (I like men). Yes they repeat the same old tired faces over-over and over again and again. So got enough today (been thinking about cancelling for awhile). I feel that it does not respect the limited pool of their membership. They certainly did not me. I am well rounded well kept now 70 year old. I good writer so my profile always gets the younger ones attention. It does not again respect or appreciate their members.
Zoosk is By Far the worst dating site! I get probably 15 fake Likes for every legitimate Like! When I finally did have someone from Zoosk text me back, they told me they weren’t aware of any fake accounts on their site! That’s all it is! Fake or inactive accounts!
I feel the site was disingenuous in their companions; the type of interest people supposedly had turned out to be inauthentic based on the lack of follow-up these women “allegedly” indicated. I feel that pictures are being used to give a false sense of hope to men, and misleading in the interest that women have in them. The lack of responses made this abundantly clear.
It’s a phony company with very few genuine profiles but a lot of bogus charges and tricks to string you along. I joined Zoosk and I just threw my money away. I didn’t meet any real woman there but quite a few scammers. I should have not ventured out this way! If you check the fine print, you will see that they consider it your own fault if you are scammed by their fake profiles, they are not responsible for anything. Don’t waste your time with Zoosk and don’t put your money at risk!
This is the second time I’ve joined the Zoosk site although I have been contacted a few times on this site I find most profiles of women to be fake inaccurate and I get tired of getting messages saying that these women want to meet me I message them and I get nothing back or they say no I did not message you sorry/ This site does not have a good rating with consumer affairs I don’t believe it to be entirely legitimate. Entertaining yes but also annoying at the same time I don’t think online dating is the way to go there’s nothing better than the old way meet somebody face to face and if you hit it off ask them for a date I will not be re subscribing into the site
